I am an amateur astronomer studying for a degree in Physical Science with the Open University.

I got my first telescope in 2006; a 12 inch Dobsonian Reflector and am now the proud owner of three others - one more reflector and two refractors. As well as observing I like to make sketches too of what I’ve seen, and while I’m not great at sketching it is a lot of fun and much more interesting than imaging!

I started studying with the Open University in February 2006 and have now done two short courses with them and three longer courses. I am doing fairly well and have a total of 110 points towards the 360 needed for the degree.
